What to Expect

As soon as you enter the doors here at HPC, you can expect to be greeted by people who are excited to see you. We aren’t all hyped up on coffee and energy drinks... we are just excited about being a part of a diverse and loving family, and we are quick to welcome others to join in on the fun.

Yes, we have been told that our music is a little loud. We’ve been told that our pastor is long-winded. And, yes we know that you're “supposed” to dress up for church. But, we have come to understand that there are a zillion ways to “do church.”

If you can play, then play. If you can sing, then sing. If you can preach, then preach. It doesn’t matter whether your great or just getting started, if you’re called to do something, then do it! This is how we do church... pushing individuals to become the people God intended. And if this means that worship goes from rock and roll one week to bluegrass the next, if this means that the pastor puts the emphasis on getting spiritually fed first and physically fed second, if this means that some people walk in the door wearing swim trunks and a ratty t-shirt while others wear 3-piece suits, we’re gonna have church!
